Our story began in the summer of 2020, right at the peak of COVID-19. Rachel's family has always cherished their lake house on Lake Texoma. When the pandemic hit, Rachel and a few friends decided that quarantining at the lake would be the perfect escape. Meanwhile, her neighbor and longtime friend, Will McCaddon, was also heading to the lake with his friends to ride out the quarantine.

Once we arrived, Will and Rachel connected via text and decided to hang out. Rachel headed over to Will’s lake house, where she met his best friend, Luke. We all ended up spending the next few months together at the lake, playfully calling ourselves the "COVID kids."

After weeks of bonding and enjoying each other's company, we returned to Dallas. That first night back, Luke called Rachel to ask her out for lunch. Naturally, we chose sushi—our mutual favorite! After that date, we quickly became inseparable, and just two weeks later, Luke asked Rachel to be his girlfriend. It wasn’t long before we confessed our love for each other, knowing we had found something special.

Fast forward to December 2023. Rachel’s family convinced her they were heading to the lake for Christmas card photos. Little did she know, Luke had planned a surprise proposal in the very place our story began. He pulled it off perfectly, catching Rachel completely off guard.

We celebrated our engagement with both of our families right back at Lake Texoma, where it all started. We can't wait to celebrate with all of you in December! Here’s to lifelong love and happiness!
